Why I set this up:
In 2021 I became a mum for the very first time and the beginning of my journey was tough. I had an unexpected birth, I struggled mentally in the early weeks and I was doing all of this whilst relocating to a new place. I found motherhood really hard. In the months that followed I didn’t realise just how much time it would take to build myself back up again and how lonely I would feel. However it’s this journey that has helped me to understand what can be really valuable for mums in the early stages and beyond has been the building block to the program I have created.
'“Welcome to the Mummy Connection - a place where you can reconnect with your mind, body and other mums on this shared journey through motherhood”
About the session:
The Mummy Connection has a different theme each week focused around the key challenges (both physically and mentally) of motherhood. Every session will combine a variety of practices including HIIT, Pilates, Yoga, breath work, journaling etc... to help mums reconnect with themselves and others.
The opportunity to connect doesnt stop at the end of class. I encourage the mums who join to come along for a walk followed by a coffee or lunch in Charlestown. We have teamed up with The boathouse, who will have a place for us to hang out and grab food/drink for those that wish to join. If for any reason you’re unable to join the class you are always welcome to connect with us when we head into Charlestown.
Location: Pattern Hall, Charlestown
Date: 21st Feb 2024 - running every Wed for 7 weeks
Time: 10:30am - 11:30pm (optional coffee after)
Price: £10 per session (or purchase a block of sessions at a reduced rate in ‘classes & packages’)
Who is this for: This is aimed at new mums who are in need of a safe space to talk, looking to connect with other new mums locally and wanting a post natal specific exercise class.
The extra bits: Babies up to a year welcome. Please only book onto this class once you have had your 6 week review with the GP and they have agreed that you’re ok to start exercising again.
If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
