The Mummy Connection Mini Retreat - 'Strength and Move'

Why I set this up:

In 2021 I became a mum for the very first time and the beginning of my journey was tough. I had an unexpected birth, I struggled mentally in the early weeks and I was doing all of this whilst relocating to a new place. I found motherhood really hard. In the months that followed I didn’t realise just how much time it would take to build myself back up again and how lonely I would feel. However it’s this journey that has helped me to understand what can be really valuable for mums in the early stages and beyond has been the building block to the program I have created.

About the session:

The Mummy Connection Mini Retreat is a space where you can truly reconnect with yourself and other new mums alongside gaining valuable advice about how to support you and your baby in your post natal journey.

This months theme is ‘Strength and Move’, something that is key as a new mum. One thing I always stress to my post natal clients is the importance of mums looking after themselves in order to be able to look after their babies and this is exactly what this session is all about.

The morning will start with a movement session that combines post natal Pilates and Yoga. This is designed specifically to help you strengthen and lengthen your body in the the first year of motherhood.

We will then have a short workshop and on this months mini retreat it will focus around pelvic floor strength, c-section scar management and how to move effectively as a new mum.

After this we will wander down to Charlestown to The Boathouse where we will get the chance to get to connect further over brunch and a hot drink (which is all included in the price).

Date: 22nd Jan (being run once a month)

Time: 10:30am - 12:30pm

Price: £30 per session

Who is this for: This is aimed at new mums who are in need of a safe space to talk, looking to connect with other new mums locally and wanting a post natal specific exercise class.

The extra bits: Babies up to a year welcome. Please only book onto this class once you have had your 6 week review with the GP and they have agreed that you’re ok to start exercising again.
